"What We Become" is the fourth episode of The Walking Dead: Red Machete.
Plot
A montage of Joe and the Claimers is shown; walking past the Terminus sign whilst shaking their heads, claiming leftover goods from abandoned camps, watching a survivor get eaten so they can take his backpack, and raiding a cabin.
One night, two thieves descend upon the Claimers and are quickly apprehended and punished, one having his hand chopped off using the red handled machete. Joe packs the machete into his bag where it is later taken by Rick and his group after killing The Claimers.
The machete is shown being used on Gareth and the subsequent travels the blade had before being taken by The Saviors.
