Valle de Guadaulupe is a prominent location in Season 2 of AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. It is a village located in Baja California, Mexico, and best known for its wineries, vineyards, and annual harvest festival. It is also home to the Abigail vineyard, where Thomas Abigail and his family and servants live peacefully behind the estate's walls.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Season 2[]

"Blood in the Streets"[]

The vineyard and deserts of Valle de Guadalupe are seen in a flashback as Thomas and Strand relax by the pool and enjoy drinks being served by Celia.

"Sicut Cervus"[]

After successfully gaining entry into Mexico, Strand leads his group from the shore to the village of Valle de Guadalupe. In the town square, they come across the recently-turned priest and his congregation, who were poisoned and murdered by Celia Flores. After putting down the undead villagers, the group travel through town to the Abigail estate, where they find a couple dozen survivors living safely.

"Shiva"[]

Strand and his group continue to live at the Abigail estate while other survivors live in their homes around town, including Javier and Ramon, who are attacked by Christopher Manawa. After the Abigail compound is burned down, the survivors are forced to flee and find refuge elsewhere in the town.

"Grotesque"[]

While most of the Abigail servants split off and went their separate ways to find family and safety, Sofia and Juan remained in the village for a few days, taking refuge in a neighbor's home with Nick before leaving for La Paz, a city south of the village. The house belonged to a father and his son who were once friends with Sofia until their deaths. Upon discovering their bodies, Sofia and Nick covered the pair with a blanket.

Season 3[]

"100"[]

Daniel is seen walking away from the destruction of the vineyard.

Trivia[]

  • While Strand mentions that he was heading to Rosarito for the safe house, the Abigail compound is actually located in Valle de Guadalupe, as mentioned by Nick in "Grotesque" and mentioned by showrunner Dave Erickson in an Entertainment Weekly interview. It is possible Strand mentioned Rosarito as where they would set course in order to travel to Valle de Guadalupe or referred to Rosarito as the municipality, as opposed to the city of Rosarito.
