Hi Fellow Survivor Edit

I took a look at your page and I found it interesting. I especially like the fact that you seem to be a fan of numerous zombie movies, many of which I like. However, I do have to critisize you a bit on your choice of weapons. A Flail weapon is no good for survival, as it requires the user to wear armor just to use it. Your Weapons Edit

You might want to think a little bit about the weapons you'd use, and why you'd use them. After all, there are some things to think about: Easy to use, Easy to get, Multiple uses. In my case, I'd use a Machete, as I can use it to cut off heads and chop down trees. I would also get a crowbar, as it can bash in skulls and open crates of supplies. Finally, I'd have an E-Tool, as it can split skulls and dig holes, both for graves and bathroom use. After all, it is better to have a few weapons with multiple uses, than to have so many weapons, you're slower than a snail. Alockwood1 00:17, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

I spoke with another admin, and he was okay with making sub gallery pages. So I restored the image and moved it to the gallery page of Triggerfinger.

Remove the italized sentence and add

Fixing TV Series links Edit

Are corrections to a section valid if they come from the original bluray? Edit

I notice you reverted a change on the Edwin Jenner page.. but the change was based on the original bluray. There is a statement that the audio is inaudible... it isn't, its just pretty hard to hear unless you boost the center channel (where dialog is usually placed.)

I listened on an Intimus 5c from an Onkyo sr-605 home theatre and a Sony Playstation 3, with an original S1 bluray at 70% max volume, +15 db on the center and -15 all other channels, and the audio is clear. If this is from the original source material, why revert? Seems like there is no dispute... the words aren't really that unclear when you listen to the correct part of the sound track

Well, their last names can be different in the comics, like some of their ages are, for example Carls. Shanes, Carols, Dales or Sophias last names have been never mentioned in comics, so it's not sure. i dont take offence, its just its better to have a pic that is more updated and lacks bluryness, it doesnt exactly have to fit in the box perfectly, plus the pics i uploaded are more focused on the face, you can see them better then having one of the crying and looking down, allen, or having there face twisted to the side, andrea, but i will leave them the way it is and when a pic comes up, i will preview it and see if it fits perfectly so its neat - BanishU 13:18, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

Weapons Pages Edit

The wiki community has already voted against weapons having their own separate pages (as seen on Separate Weapons pages blog) since its unnecessary and will become quite messy here. Restore original pictures for character comic pageEdit

I'm not sure if it was you or one of the other admins, but would you mind restoring your original character pics that were stupidly removed? They were much better quality pics than the pics that are showing right now.in the comic characters list.

That's actually exactly what I was thinking. We should create video game pages for Glenn, Lilly, Hershel, etc... since their roles in the game are going to be way different then that in the Comic or TV Series. So yea... Link Edits Edit

Hey, just to let you know if your going to create links to characters, to make things easier and fix the coding issues, you can use the following:

  • {{CS|Rick } } for comic series Rick (without spaces)
  • {{TV|Rick } } for TV series Rick (without spaces)
  • {{VG|Glenn } } for video game Glenn (without spaces)

It's so much easier so...

Oh and by the way, I don't think we need to create character pages for the novel characters since the books actually tie in with the comics, i think what we have now is good enough unless there is lots more information to put in or more books are published. As for the other question, hmm.... i dunno i mean i think we are all pretty sure that The Governor in the TV Series is going to be named Brian Blake but I guess we could rename the pages and have redirect links. Once the 3rd season comes out, we do whatever changes are necessary i suppose but i dunno... For the gallery pages I was wondering if we could add sub-categories for things such as comic and Televison Series so that the different pictures aren't jumbled all together. It doesn't really matter to me, just a thought. -Lukesav1998 12:09, April 15, 2012 (UTC)

people have done this before, but it is too much trouble and that means you will have to delete like all the tv images and find them again, someone did it with the Norman Reedus Gallery, and split it into two catagories and it annoyed me because its norman reedus images if you get what i mean so lets just keep it all mixed up and into just one gallery, but if you want to you can rearange them so its like comic images at the top and move all the tv images at the bottom but as i said, it is too much trouble and would take forever. - BanishU 12:13, April 15, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry about that, I had to go get my brother. For the ones that had two I made a 2nd heading category for the comic, tv show, etc. Then I made a new gallery and when you hit add pictures you click on add pictures from this page. Re: Memorable Quotes Edit

I don't really think we need quote pages. Problem is people can quote the whole episode of a TV Series and if we do that, then we may have to do the same for the Comics as well. However, we can have one or two quotes per page at the top of the articles, kinda like a memorable quote thing and we can put it on both episode pages and character pages if we want. I menat to have just a quote template at the beginning/top of the page, if we put in a section for quotes, like I said, people are going to quote everything and put in every single piece of dialog for each episode which makes the section long and then pointless. That sounds awesome! I would certainately appreciate any help. The problem with the Walking Dead is that the quality of the writting is so good, it's difficult to decide which quotes to use. Ideally they should be something that is relevant to the character. They don't even have to be something that the character themseleves say; such as the quote I added to Merle's page. Suggestion Edit

I don't know if you made the template or not, but if you add conversation between more than one person the quotation marks get messed up. For example on Glenns page for the Television Series it looks like this.

I guess he is another Savior, the Unnamed Savior that was shot had a scruffy beard while the unnamed savior is shown to be shaven (to me he looks shaven), but he can be seen running ahead of Dwight with the pistol he had earlier and in the same clothes. Dead to Unknown Edit

Hey Liam I was on the wiki and I noticed some dead characters had statuses that said they were unknown. I checked other Pictorial Lists and it happened to all of them. Is there any way to revert it? It would take a while to do them all individually...

Video Game Character PagesEdit

So on the Video Game Character page I believe that Lee's Family and Clem's Family should be on the main page,even the Police Officer should, one Clems mother was seen (through a photo) and also had a Voiced role, Lee's Parents were seen (through photo) and were mentioned in an important part of the game, Larry threw there bodys into the ally way. The police officer was seen, heard and even talked to and just because we dont know his name he goes to the Unseen page? theres a cow in the video game character page over a character we saw more than the cow we talked to more.

Character BoxesEdit

I had an idea for character boxes. I see squares were added to them somehow, but I would like to suggest something. We should make the font smaller on the boxes so we can fit titles and last names as one, I think that be great. I really wanted to put first and last names for the Character Compilation, but some names are big. So my ultimate suggestion, make the font in the squares smaller to fit names. For example:

Thanks for the reply. I understand your point but think that this wiki is growing very fast (mostly due to the video game and all the new members). Yeah, an idea is that you ask 06abrahb if he can removw some admins just because they are inactive and bring no quaities to this wiki. AchievementsEdit

Hey mate, wasn't sure who to go to about this but I thought I'd go to an admin with lots of edits.

I was thinking perhaps you guys should turn the wiki achievements on. Whilst you guys have a major community already, think how much interesting it would be if people were rewarded for their hard work.

It's easy to turn them on, but it might be preferable to change the titles of the achievements and images to make them fit more with the style of the wiki.

Lots of wiki have them turned on (I do at Alan Wake wiki) so if you'd like to do that, go ahead. It'd be really cool if you did :)

New Theme for Themes Edit

There are two types of Admins: a Sysop or System Operator Admin which are editors who have been granted the technical ability to perform certain special actions on wikis: including the ability to block and unblock user accounts and IP addresses from editing, protect and unprotect pages from editing, delete and undelete pages, effectively to rename pages without restriction, and use certain other tools.

The other type is a Bureaucrat Admin which are editors that can grant or revoke other users administrative powers. Bureaucrats have the technical ability to: promote users to administrator or bureaucrat status or remove the administrator, bot, account creator, IP block exemption, or reviewer user group from an account, as well as rename user accounts.

Yea I took care of it. I used the retirement template as well as for those admins that have not been online for a while, I revoked their status since they don't seem to be coming back. And yea I agree, there is no point in having like 10 admins so now we still 5 or 6 so it should be good. QuiestionEdit

Hey Banshi,

I have a quick question sense the Social Game is canon to the TV show, much like the game Dead Reckoning is.

Should we do the same for the character page? we have an indivual page for Shane Walsh (Social Game) but we dont have this for the game dead reckoning we add shanes dead reckoning story to his Shane Walsh (TV Series) page should we do this for the social game also?

For example just on shanes tv page under Dead Reckoning have Social Game Shane find his way to the camp with lori and carl and other survivers etc sense it is the same story as the TV show.

Handling the Social GameEdit

I noticed you gave DevynC2 permission to add the social game information to characters who are a also in the TV Show. For example, putting Shane Walsh (Social Game)'s information onto the Shane Walsh (TV Series) page, like we did for The Walking Dead: Dead Reckoning. However, the difference is, we don't have a page for Shane Walsh (Dead Reckoning). But since we do have a page for Shane Walsh (Social Game), it is completely unnecessary to put the information on both.

Think about the video game (Telltale). We didn't put Glenn's actions in the video game onto the Glenn (Comic Series) page. I think we need to have individual pages for the social game, or delete the individual pages, and just put the information on the TV series pages. I'd like to hear your opinion. Thanks.

Pictures from Issue 101Edit

Hey BanishU. Thanks for uploading all those pictures of Issue 101. I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but I wanted to let you know that I will be removing certain pictures from certain character galleries. I really hope you will understand and not take it personally. It's just that some pictures such as the ones below, barely even feature the character they are in the gallery for.

Hey Axel. I am not taking it the wrong way, but I am kind of annoyed that you are removing many pictures on me. If a character is in a picture, even slightly or half a face is gone. It is still that character and should be kept in their gallery. That's why I created most of all the galleries, so people, like me, can add pictures of characters even if it is far away or blurry or half a face.

Your apology means a lot. Thanks for being mature enough to actually say sorry, many people have trouble doing that on the internet. I, of course, can understand you feeling annoyed since I was removing your pictures from multiple galleries. However, it would be extremely inefficient for me to check with you for every picture I was going to delete. I'm glad you understand though.

There were a couple pictures of Nicholas that you re-added to the gallery. I thought about them for a while and eventually thought of something that I think you would agree with. Because the Nicholas Gallery doesn't have that many pictures, two mediocre pictures of just his jacket-covered back would be fine. If these pictures would of Rick and were added to his gallery, I would say we remove them. This is because the Rick gallery is extremely large and is only getting larger so there is no need for bad pictures. Once again, thanks so much for your understanding.

Recent PromotionsEdit

Hey Liam. I noticed you recently promoted Shellturtleguy and Dixon For Governor to staff members. These two users both work very hard and both deserved it. They do a ton of good edits that help improve this wiki. So, in case either of you are reading this, I want you to know that I support you and say congratulations!

My point however, is I don't think you went about it in the right way. I think that before any big decision, such as a promotion, admins should talk to one another before deciding on their own. One admin might know something that another admin doesn't about a particular user. Also, if admins make decisions on their own without telling each other, there is no communication and can lead to us being misinformed on a certain situation. I think all big decisions should be talked about and approved by at least two admins. It will help keep rules fair and our decisions more or less on the same page.

This message isn't just for you specifically and I hope you don't think I'm singling you out. It was just that you had presented a good reason for me to bring it up. I hope all admins see this message. If not, I will bring it to their attention. If you or anyone else has a question or comment, please let me know. Thanks.

I think you completely misunderstood my message. I thought I made it clear that I agree with both of their promotions. I just think you should have talked to at least one other admin before promoting them.

To get their opinion and see if they agree with you or not. If they agree with you, you get confirmation and can continue on with what you were going to do. If not, you can get their opinion why and ask another admin. There are five active admins so you'll never have a tie. I understand that some of the other admins aren't as active as you, but I am on very frequently and will get back to you in a day or two at max.

Once again, I don't mean for this to point you out specifically. I am merely trying to make this wiki more democratic rather than just one person making the calls. By checking with other admins on big decisions, it helps make this wiki more of a democracy rather than a dictatorship. Thanks for your understanding.

I was wondering why we need pages for all the background characters since we have a page meant for them, "Background Survivors". Also, we don't actually know the names of their characters (I don't think they have any). Aren't the names you are using actually the people's real names?

Solo and group galleriesEdit

I noticed this revert and I was wondering what the issue was.

I figured it was potentially useful to divide galleries into solo/group, because solo pics would be unique to that gallery page, whereas with groups collected at the bottom, it makes it easier to know that we should also feature those images on other actor's galleries, as well as making it possible to label the images to say the name of who else is in them and link to those people. +Yc 07:20, August 27, 2012 (UTC)

I don't really understand this 'no point' and 'useless' assertion. I thought I explained above the benefit of this separation, it allows us to begin with images that solely feature that person or character (images that would generally only be featured on a single gallery) which would not require subtitled links to disambiguate the images.
Then it could be followed by images where the person or character is featured with others who may have their own galleries, meaning that we could, in the description, link to those other featured person's pages as well. +Yc 12:50, September 1, 2012 (UTC)

Bad Quality PicturesEdit

Hey Liam,

I know we talked about the quality of pictures in galleries a while ago and came to a consensus: The less pictures a gallery has, the lower quality the pictures can be. However, when the amount of pictures in a gallery rises, the quality needs to rise as well. This prevents us from having huge galleries with bad pictures. I noticed you uploaded a lot of pictures from Issue 102 but some of them are not very good. I understand that you want to help out and like doing a lot of edits, but not every single frame needs to be uploaded to the wiki. Pictures that barely show the characters or show part of their back are not worth adding to the galleries.

I am planning on removing some of the pictures but like we said before, I am compromising. I will not remove every picture that I think should be removed. I will keep some that are "on edge" for the sake of being fair. Please don't take it personally and thank you for uploading the pictures in the first place.

Yeah. Well, I don't really believe all the pictures should be in order, I think and like it better when they are mixed with all. So Rick has Season 1, 2 and 3 pictures. Not in plain and boring order. But just mixed, I just like it that way. Plus, I find it much easier to do so. Instead of clicking the gallery button and waiting for the application to load, which takes forever for me, I just click edit, go on source mode, copy in the picture name and publish. Much faster.

I understand how it may be easier to do, however, it is the exact opposite of what I have been trying to carry out. I have been trying to organize gallery pictures chronologically for a number of reasons. The biggest reason is because it makes it much easier to find what you're looking for. For example, if I was looking for a picture of Rick Grimes around Atlanta, I would know to look near the start of the gallery. If I was looking to find a picture of him at Hershel's Farm, I would know to look in between the Atlanta/Season 1 photos and the prison/Season 3 photos. If the pictures are scattered randomly, it is near impossible to do this.

Secondly, if the pictures are in order, fans can see how the character's physical appearance changes over time. With pictures all scrambled up, fans have no clue when the events displayed in the pictures took place.

And lastly, scattering pictures in galleries makes it hard for us to editors to see what pictures have already been uploaded. If AMC releases a new image of say, Glenn, in the prison, and I go to upload it, I will see if someone else had already uploaded it by checking the end of the gallery. If the picture is elsewhere in the gallery, I may not see it. This could end with duplicate pictures in galleries, something we definitely don't want.

I hope you see the reasons why I think we should continue to keep the galleries in chronological order to the best of our abilities. I feel very strongly about this and would greatly appreciate your cooperation. Thank you.

Oh, well that is what I do but I will try to keep them in order. If you want, then you can go to all the galleries and like, put them in order of episode. With a title on heading 4. You should have told me earlier because I have been doing this for around less than a month, so I could have stopped. I usually upload Photos in the "New photos on this wiki". Usually when i uploaded photos of the characters there, it automatically tagged by Kaffe4200. ex: i put photos of Beth and Lori. First, the photo doesn't have any tags on them. Minutes later, Kaffe puts them in their respective place like "Beth Greene Gallery" and Lori Grimes Gallery". How do you put tags on the photo? Should i delete the photos i uploaded days ago and re-uploaded them on their rightful gallery? Or should i just put tags on them? Thanks again♪

Why continue to list him as dead when his status is unknown? It makes no sense to me. I never saw Merle listed as dead before Season 3 spoilers came out, nor the Morales family. Why is Andrew an exception? As of right now, it is incredibly misleading to list him as dead.

Thoughts on Character Appearances page?Edit

Hey Liam. I was wondering what you think of this page: Character Appearances. I'm just not sure it's necessary since we already have appearances for characters on their pages. The appearances section on their pages is also more organized and easier to read since you don't need to know what different colors mean or which episode is which.

My research turns up nothing but proper names for towns, shops, etc. It does have the ring of British slang so I thought you might know. Hey Liam, I've been noticing how both you and I have been undoing edits by Wikia Contributors regarding Rick's "relations" section. Hey Banish, can you add Scott Moon to the Comic Series Characters Main Page in the Woodbury Survivors section, since his head is supposedbly in one of the tanks in the comic, makes since to have him in it.

Also, the Novel Series Characters needs a Main Page for The Road to Woodbury.

And maybe in the Novel Series Slot at the top have the two titles so people can pick and a Disamb. Page for Novel Characters when they search it in the search bar, but yeah.... what do you think?

Another thing, i've been thinking about the Notable Walkers Page, and i was thinking. All of the walkers are walkers that played a part that affected the survivors in some ways from the show. Should there be sections of Notable Walkers from the Webisodes, Comic, and Video Game (TellTale). It's an idea but would help expand it it/add more to it. Besides there are multiple walers that did affect the survivors in the Websodes, Comic, and Game(Can't really do it with the Social Game and Novel, i dont think).

Reminder About PromotionsEdit

Hello,

I just wanted to take the time to remind all of the admins of the rule we made awhile back, specifically about promotions. The rule basically stated that you couldn't promote any users without consent from at least one other admin. This prevents any one administrator from making big decisions on their own. I believe that since we have six active admins, you should be required to get at least 3 admins to agree to the promotion, including yourself. When you promote the user, you should put who the other 2 admins are who agree with the promotion. I say 3 because in the case of a tie, the general wiki-population has the ability to sway the vote.

Like I said earlier, these regulations prevent the wiki from being controlled by one person and help make it much more democratic. I hope you will all follow this rule in order to help improve the quality of the wiki. This will be especially useful currently, as there are many requests for staff positions. Do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Trying for the last timeEdit

Hi, I'm The Grim botching edits. In the last few days, I've been trying to keep the official episodes pictures from AMC.com on each Season 3 episode page, but some people change it everytime and now they got a photographer backing them up, threatning to "punish" me if I try to change the pictures again.

Not telling you to "ban dose guuuuyz", but asking for your permission to change the episode pictures, since you're a photographer too. But this time, I'll do it with ALL the episodes from all the three seasons. IF you allow me to do so.

I want to say something. You need to listen because I've also given up.

I've learnt something from this website. I've learnt that it isn't a free wiki that huge fans of the show can contribute to. It's a website completely controlled by the "admins". I absolutely love this show, am a massive fan, and I find it really upsetting that if ever I write something, it will instantly be removed. I've learnt that I can't add things here. It feels like I'm in Woodbury or Crawford here. It shouldn't feel like that, it should be a happy, vibrant website where all fan contributions are gratfully received. What's more upsetting is that if we dare try to plead our case, we're blocked. How is this fair?

Anyway, now I know that if I want to write something, basically I can't. It will be removed, and I will be blocked. It obviously isn't a free information website fans can contribue to. 

P.S. I wrote the majority of information under Patricia for 18 Miles Out. Previously it said simply that she doesn't appear in the episode. I wrote the points she's mentioned. But now that you know this, I guess you'll delete it straight away. I also added information that was missed for her on each individual episode. But you may as well delete all that too. Yeah... Issue 105 ReminderEdit

Hey Liam.  So Issue 105 is coming out soon and I just wanted to remind you about what we talked about in regard picture quality.  I uploaded all the pictures we need from the preview as an example for you to take a look at.  As you can see, I only used quality pictures where we can see faces.  I don't mean to be condescending but it is a big hassle to go through all the galleries and delete pictures so please only upload the good pictures, not every frame.  And of course, thanks for uploading them in the first place!  It is much appreciated.

Fivel & Walter - EP. 4 VGEdit

Hey, I looked at that forum post confirming the names and looked at the game again.

Their is a note on the ridge that says "My Dog Walter". I was thinking that the child signed his name and Fivel is actually the dog' name. Season 3 Titles Edit

Hi, I just thought you should change 3 titles for the second half season 3. These are confirmed and aren't spoilers.


Episode 9 is called 'The suicide king' the story is: Rick tries to rescue one of his group members. Woodbury is in dissaray after a recent attack. New guests staying at the Prison are a cause for concern.

Episode 10 is called 'Home' and the story is: The group is prepairing their next step. Rick goes in search of his lost friend, and meanwhile, Daryl and Merle are wondering if they themselves have made the right decisions. The Governor of Woodbury is planning to restore order in the town and plans to punish those responsible for the chaos.


Episode 11 is called 'I ain't a Judas' and the story is: Rick and the group are forced to make a decision now that their safety is no longer guranteed. Andrea begins to feel uncomfortable now that Woodbury has become a Police state.

I was recently block from the wiki by user CaptainCanti for "adding false information". The only edits I do are minor ones or grammatical errors. The block was very annoying because I am an active blog user and I did nothing wrong.

SolutionEdit

People are being mass blocked because they're being assigned a wikia IP, and someone has recently been blocked so it resulted in people being mass blocked. To resolve it unblock 74.120.190.101 from the autoblock list and the other ip block lists, it should remove all the blocks for people being falsely blocked. -- Ozank (Talk) 14:30, December 19, 2012 (UTC)

Im now blocked from many pages, so my editing wont be allowed on most wikis. Anyways, on Denial, the page I just edited then got banned from, your edit turned it back to tiny format. Please undo it as it was fine before the edit, or at least take out all the subs in it.

  1. I deleted the unnamed senator page. He is unseen and unnamed and is not critical to the storyline. Best to have him mentioned on the relevant episode pages & Lee's page

It's not speculation. He has been confirmed to appear by the writers, your reasoning of "He could appear as a zombie or corpse" is not logical at all. They wouldn't bring him back as a zombie or corpse. The writers are pretty much the most credible source of information on The Walking Dead.

Gabriel Edit

Just wanted to let you know that if you click on the "Gabriel" link in the Comic Characters template, it sends you to the page, but it says "Redirected from Father Gabriel Stokes". This is because Gabriel's page is named "Fr. Gabriel Stokes" rather than "Father Gabriel Stokes". "Father Gabriel Stokes" is what the template link will send you to if youu hover the mouse over it. Pete Anderson/Dotson Edit

I'm 90% positive that the only reason Regina called him "Pete Anderson" is because she was angry at him, and sometimes people say the person's first and middle name to them while angry. During the funeral for Pete, Scott, and Regina, Rick gave a speech about Pete, and he specifically says, "Was the man who killed Regina really Pete Dotson?" or something very similar to that. Dotson is NOT a first name, and that's what middle names are, basically, so it's safe to assume Anderson is his middle name and Dotson his last. Same goes for Jessie and Ron. Analysis Section on Episode PagesEdit

Hey Liam.  I was gone this weekend and just noticed the addition of an "Analysis" section including "Reaccuring Themes" on episode pages for the first season.  I'm not sure if you already knew about this or not, but I have a few concerns.  The first of which, it seems a little redundant.  Not only is the information listed on the theme pages, but it is stated in the article itself.  It seems like the section adds absoluetly nothing new to the page.  Secondly, I hate to be harsh, but it seems like a terrible idea to have pictures that spoil things that occur later on in the comic.  For example, Rick's amputated arm and Axel being shot can clearly be seen.  

I have to say that I am in favor of deleting this section for the reasons stated above.  Please let me know what you think.  I appreciate your input.

About the Episode Analysis, I actually kind of like them. I think they add more to the page, a sense of professionalism. People don't know we have a series of Theme pages, so putting these up is like advertising the fact we have them, in a more user-friendly way just by scrolling down and seeing what main plot points and events have happened within the Episode.

Maybe some are short with one or two points, but they can be expanded and made out of a stub. So I, personally, think they should be kept.

This is my opinion, sorry if it doesn't make sense, it did when I typed it. Maybe, you should make a poll on the main page or blog post and see if, the admins and Users like them. See where it goes from there.

Okay so I need an official vote from you.  Delete or leep the page?  Also, I thought of a good compromise.  You mentioned that you liked the fact that they advertised the Theme pages.  It's been over a month now, so we can take down the UFSW slider on the main page and release it with an image promoting the Theme pages.  I think that would be a great solution.  

So anyway, let me know how you vote, (with this is idea included).  Also, there will not be a tie because I'm not counting Conesses because I haven't heard from him in quite some time and he tends to focus on blogs rather than topics like this.  Have you heard from him?  Thanks.

Hello BanishU. The proper setup for a Gallery page is like "[Article]/Gallery". If you visit the gallery page then, underneath the edit and talk buttons, you'll see that it says "< [Article]. Doing so makes the Gallery page act as a sub-article of the main article. It makes the formatting neater. So the links should be represented as "[Article]/Gallery". Interesting Image Edit

I was looking at NinjaFatGuy's port, and I noticed the tempates of the various Walking Dead Comics he has- good collection by the only way, only have the first five myself, wish I had the rest- and I noticed that the zombies on the bottom halfs of each cover make up a single image when the books are put in a row. Hey, I was editing the Issue pages, and this is what I applied for the sentence of the finale issue of a volume:

Walking Dead Editor keeps removing the deletion tag, so i brought it upon myself to contact an admin about the page; an edit he cant remove (well he can, but you know what i mean :P), and you were the most recently active admin (despite it being 4 hours before).

Hey, if you view the Template:Volume Info and the Template:Violent pages, you may see that I edited them to look a little better. What do you think? Sorry if you don't like it, you can just undo it, I think it looks better and matches some of the other templates on the wiki. I also updated The Walking Dead: Book One a lot, and planning on doing that for the rest. And do you think I could become a Comic Reader? I would say about 4/5 of my edits is on the Comic Series and I have about every book; almost all the issues (about 25 off), all the volumes, books, 2 omnibuses, both compendiums and the survival guide. Catch the readerEdit

Usually, you summarize what has happened to the specific character in the start of the article. Look at Rick Grimes compared to other wikis, where they go more into it. A few examples from House of Cards Wiki and Lostpedia. Both character's lifespan has been described in between 10-100 lines, depending on their lifespan. I think this wiki should improve the introduction of characters to catch the reader. People want to know what they are reading about, and a semi-long introduction is good to tell them. Hey Liam.  I strongly believe that we should keep the introductions just the characters relations and their point of introduction.  Including their entire story seems rushed and makes the page look messy.  I think the page looks good to viewers when they can see who the character is and when they were introduced, and then continue reading on if they decide to.  I already reverted the changed pages back to the old paragraphs.

Duane's StatusEdit

Hi there, 

Conesses133 and I have repeatedly disagreed over what Duane's status should be.  Conesses believes that he should be considered "Undead" because he turned, and there was no mention of him ever being put down.  However, I believe that his status should be "Unknown" because we don't know whether he was put down or not.  I just believe that Conesses133 has too many flaws in his logic.  Morgan's status is Unknown, but there was no mention of him dying, so wouldn't the same situation apply to Duane?  The bottom line is that if a character's status is not definite, then they should be listed as Unknown. 

Anyway, we have been going back on forth on this for a while which is in my opnion, setting a bad example and very un-admin like.  So, I thought that we should simply settle it for good by having the admins vote.  Let me know what you believe Duane's status should be, and then we will leave it at that.  Thanks for your assistance.

Hey i was wondering if we could fix it up a bit.... now for characters like Rick, Glenn, Daryl etc should we get rid of the each episode title then what they did in that episode now in the comic characters we dont say:

"Issue 1"

we have it like this:

So for TV Characters who havve been in a lot of episodes should we change it from:

"Days Gone Bye"

but change it to:

You see I added templates for my favorite characters on my page but they are going in a row down instead of across which is how I would like it. I was wondeering if you could tell me how to make it go across instead of in a line down.

There are other Woodbury extras who spoke (such as the guy who thanked Rowan for the drinks at the barbeque) and even the Atlanta survivors who spoke at the camp...should we get pages for them? Hey there,

I am here to inquire about the possible lifting of a recent ban you imposed. I have enjoyed this Wiki page for a while, and as a huge Walking Dead fan, I have found it both informative and interesting. Because if this, and due to my extensive knoledge on the comic series and tv show, I recently decided that I would join this Wiki, in order to improve it in any way I could. Foolishly I commented a few days ago on a post about The Govenor, and consequently, my new user, Tomharrison9496, was blocked.

I have to stress that I meant no harm to the user, as the comment, although seemingly angry and offensive, was intended to be a joke. I am sorry for this comment and any offence it has caused. 

I was really looking forward to contributing to this Wiki, as I have previously explained I am a massive Walking Dead fan, I have read each issue at least five times and have been following the comic since the first volume. I feel my extensive knoledge could really help this Wiki, and I would love to help straight away rather than waiting a month until the ban is lifted.

Again I am very sorry for the comments I left on the said blog, and realise that they were both immature and offensive. I ensure you that I will never post a comment such as this again.

It would give me great pleasure to see this ban lifted as I was excited to work to improve this Wiki, as it has been very useful in the past.

MisterTrouble is an admin on this wikia and i do respect the position but im going to be talking to you about some of his actions that i have seen recently; the reason im not going directly to him is because i find him rude and dont want to try to talk to him.. Recently MisterTrouble has been undoing edits in the wikia from pages talk page. Now last time i checked, talk pages were for opinions and to hash out ideas of the page, recently MisterTrouble has not only been undoing peoples edits on talk pages but he has also undone peoples arguments that he found were not on his side, he was having an argument with "PopCap" (if thats his name) and after MisterT would say his side Pop would come and reply but other than listing or leaving pops argument for everyone else to see and say there input he just goes and deletes the opposing sides arguments against him so it looks like he is always right.. Pop also told me MisterT undid edits that Pop did to his own profile talk page!!! This needs to stop now, i know MisterT is an admin but the talk pages are for all of us, and we can put whatever we want on there, hes not supposed to dictated what we say on a pages talk part. Anyways if you could get back to me id appricate it.

Also on a side note he says he undose them because your own opinions are not allowed on pages talk page they  are ment for blogs, well ill use the most recent one as an example on Talk:Ben Paul he undid an edit a member put on how he dislikes that everyone hates on ben, now normally people would have a chance to respond to this but now they cant MisterT has deleted it stating "opinions about a character, Those belong on user talk pages or blogs" now if everyone were to make blogs about little things like this user did on bens talk page then there would be millions of blogs. Also if you agree with MisterT i want you guys to go and delete on every talk page the material that is opinions about characters because there is a lot of it.   • From my understanding from previous actions of other admins, talk pages are generally for the discussion of the content of that article, not necessarily opinions and unrelated things, which is why I undid only a few edits. If this is not the case, please let me know and I will not undo certain edits in the future. I am disappointed DevynC2 did not try to reach out to me since I don't think I ever spoke to him until the message I left for him today. Have not been undoing people's "arguments". Only undid "Pops" edit on Eileen's talk page because he was trying to further ignite a fight, and he used inappropriate language (calling me a dick right off the bat)...he was coming off very rudely, as much of his comments blogs/talk pages come off as rude (which reflectls poorly on our wiki), he even left rude comment on my talk page right off the bat which left me dumbfounded, and I responded. I informed him that I would ban him if he came off as aggressive like that again in the future. Simply unacceptable behavior. He, by his own choice, removed my messages on his own talk page and I did not put them back (to avoid any further conflict). Though instead, I put our conversation on my talk page for future reference, but I see Shellturtleguy undid Pop's edit on his own talk page (thanks Shellturtleguy!! appreciate it!). "Pop also told me MisterT undid edits that Pop did to his own profile talk page!!! " --> honestly not sure if I undid any edits that belong to others' on "Pops" talk page, other than editing my own...check out the history page and see if I'm wrong (I honestly forget lol). I don't "dislike" anyone, especially in regards to the Talk:Ben Paul page (that guy was a random anon I've never heard of before...), just simply trying to keep the right content in the right places (such as opinions about a character/on an old issue on a blog or talk page, instead of article talk pages which should be used to discuss the article itself, instead of bashing others' opinions on a character or so on) But BanishU, if anything is allowed on talk pages, please let me know and I will allow that kind of stuff to stay there, I apologize for any confusion. I'm not an admin, so it's not official. What I'm saying is, the best thing to do follow (or at least try) a timeline. You've added pictures of Carl in the prison, AFTER the 107, 108, 109 Carl. It gets messy.

Opening ParagraphEdit

Hey Liam, 

I just wanted to remind you that we don't want to have an overall summary of a character in the first paragraph.  This can become way too long, or over-simplified.  It is best to just have their first appearance (which I like that you added), their point of origin, and perhaps any significant relationships.  That makes for a good setup of the page, and then the viewer continues reading on to find out more details on the character.

The codes are the same on any wikia, we just cant get it to work. either way, ill speak to those you recommended and see what i can learn from them.

Also, ive noticed that many users on this wikia have alot of messages on their walls, i would recommend archiving them to help clean up your walls. All you have to do is create the page: User_talk:BanishU/Archive_1. Copy and paste your current message into the new page (You can leave a few recent new messages on your main Talk page) and save it. Then add the archive link to the top of your main Talk page.

whether or not you archive is up to you, i just thought i would share some knowledge in thanks for responded to my question and pointing me to those who can help.

The Living, The Dead and The Animals?Edit

Hey. It's just a little problem that I realized when you were revising edits regarding "The Cat" in Ben's page, saying it's for humans only. Okay, but what about Shiva? Or Buttons? They are (Shiva, at least) somewhat important, but they're not human. If the day comes, and Shiva gets killed by a human (Let's say Negan), what will happen?

The Sanctuary Edit

I don't understand why you keep deleted the edit I made to the Saviors' Base. It's said by Dwight in the comic he was headed back to The Sanctuary. So you're gonna keep deleting my edit? I thought this was a site to contribute correct info for(and it is correct). Do you delete everyone's edit or just mine? Cause it's quite annoying.

It's fine. I understand. I wasn't trying to step on anyone's toes. I do remember saying that about The Sanctuary in a blog post. So i went back and re read that issue and confirmed that. Sorry. Issue 110 PicturesEdit

Hey Liam, 

I know we talked about uploading images from the comics awhile ago and we haven't had any problems until now.  I just wanted to remind you that not every single frame of a character needs to be uploaded to the galleries.  If a picture is too blurry or not very detailed, it is not worth adding to the gallery.  Escpecially as galleries grow, it is wasteful to slow the page down by adding low-quality images.  Also, I noticed you removed all of my photos of Issue 110 frames and replaced them with yours.  Now, I would be fine with this, but you never contacted me to provide a reason for this action.  

Anyways, I'm not taking it personally, and I hope you will not either.  I am going to be removing some of the poor quality images.  I also may replace some images with images that show the entire frame, as that may be helpful for some people.  Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  

On another note, I was wondering what the progress was with the situation you emailed me about?   Have their been any new developments?  Contact me at my email (axel.twd@gmail.com) if you do not want to leave a message on my talk page.
