This has got to be on my Top 10 list of my favorite episodes. Last episode I mentioned that Season 4 is new to my taste but this time I was able to Savor everything with gusto.
Walker Patrick was killed and finally I am at peace and can now move on. The ripping of Unnamed Prison Newcomer 1 was sweet, I've never seen such wondrous scene since Greg Nicotero was chowing on a deer back in Season 1. Rick becomes the sheriff's deputy again after the attack on Cell Block D and sacrifices his "Three little pigs" to the "Big bad Herd" . Carol becomes the new mother of Lizzie and Mika. Tyreese turned from a happy person to a devastated one. Michonne hinting about her Pre-Apocalypse life because of Judith. Carl wants his gun back and makes a cross for the atheist Patrick. Daryl wants to be a hero. Dr. Hershel is back with his associate Dr. Subramanian. Sasha and Bob are.......there. Glenn and Maggie is finally or somehow separated from each other, and The Prison is under lockdown.
Michonne: Now we know that Michonne isn't invincible and why Michonne wants to accompany Carl back in "Clear" to get supplies for Judith and the family picture of the Grimes. We see Michonne cry once and it's for Andrea but this time was a shocker with a revelation hinting that she may had a child, with either her former husband or that dead boyfriend she mentioned, and apparently lost him/her in the onset of the walker mayhem. The scene was moving and emotional. The scene also made me tear up a bit btw.
Carol: I must say Carol then again proves the power and role of women in a messed up world. I love that scene with the guy we laughed at because of the memes, Ryan Samuels, with the kids we think it's Comic Ben and Billy V.02 in the bodies of Lizzie and Mika It jolted me from my seat because I can relate in what those kids felt. The next scenes with Carol is somehow a normal thing, You know, people cry and walks out then they come back in the same location then put flower in the ear take the knife and Voila! We have two adoptees. Though I have no problem if Carol teaches my kid to learn self-defense without consent.
Tyreese: Who knew Tyreese can sing?.LOL. The first part of the episode where he goes "smoochy smoochy I'll eat your face scene" with Karen was entertaining thanks to Melissa Ponzio's "Improving Acting". It's also sweet of him to hug Karen during the Attack and bring flowers to Karen while in quarantine......Speaking of quarantine, the final scene when Karen and David was seen murdered is similar with Susie and Rachel's death though the Greene Sisters' murder was epic. Poor Tyreese now loveless and devastated ( I Pity the Guy ), and so much for Ponzio's "Improving Acting".
Rick: The farmer digs a hole for himself and brings back the Sheriff's deputy we knew. The scenes with Carl is not as powerful as the previous ones they had but the dialogues made an impact somehow. About the "Three little Pigs". I know they are just Piglets but If you lost a precious thing you've been taking care of and you enjoy doing it as a way for a solitary life then you lost it you can connect with Rick. I somehow don't get the burn the polo thing, I mean seriously Angela Kang are you trying to wow old gays and our mothers of Andy Lincoln's body as a some sort of Orgasm, Yet before that I like the return of the legendary Colt Python matched with the pen (excluding the polo) burning.
Fence: I have to agree with some of you. The fence is tense, I admire the return of Rick's sense of leadership after being gone for months. I thought he was going to put the truck to hold the fence from giving up, similar to that of what Comics Rick did in the Safe-Zone, instead he ordered Daryl to drive him outside the fence with his precious piglets, injured, and fed them for the walkers. In this scene they knew in the back of their minds there is someone "who still hates them" fed the walkers some mice to weaken the fence. So Rick's clever thinking saved the prison once again. Long live Rick Grimes!.
"Infected": Greg Nicotero mentioned that the flu like virus is based on Ebola and according to Dr."S"'s diagnosis this could be a type of flu similar to that of the medieval times which claimed almost a quarter of the population and it seems that no matter high the Immune system of a person is the virus still progresses. I knew that the sickness won't be thoroughly ventured but instead the writer chose to focus the story on what the survivors do after that....."Isolation". Now, it's a quintuple threat that looms: The Governor, Saboteur, Walkers, Disease, and themselves.
My final verdict: It was a good episode, let's just say it's tied with the premiere from my own perspective. There are ups and downs in it yet it was emotional and I feel connected with it. Good work by Angela Kang she made the episode better than "Arrow on the Doorpost".
Today, We honor those who died:
Red-Shirt or not, Thank You for being a part of The Walking Dead.
In the next episode I am expecting that it would be awesome because 4X03 - "Isolation" is written by Robert Kirkman. I saw the Herd preview so it's another work of wonder next week.
I am Closing this blog with unending gratitude in reading this for "Infected"'. Please do not hesitate to leave your comments down below, You have my assurance that it will be respected.
This is WalkerMaimer telling you to have a Great Day and Stay Cool.
