Episode two of season two of The Walking Dead: The Game came out recently, and it was intense! Following an okay introductory episode, "A House Divided" ramps it up with several twists, uncomfortable moments, and tense situations. It's a definite improvement, and possibly even one of the best episodes in the series thus far.

The first thing I noticed was how stiff the animations and lip syncing were, moreso it seems than usual. The game makes up for this with boldly drawn cel-shading, which looks better than ever. The first chapter puts the player right into the thick of things with Clem and the survivor from episode one (Pete or Nick) trying to escape from walkers. In the scene I played, things quickly quieted down after a short QTE session …

All together, the first season of the The Walking Dead: The Game is easily one of my favourite games ever made. As such, I have high expectations of season two. Avoiding all of the coverage of the game up to today, I plunged in to the second season hopeful, and came out not feeling overly excited, but satisfied nonetheless.

The Walking Dead: 400 Days was my favourite game at E3, and The Walking Dead: The Game was my favourite game of 2012. It's fair to say I was pretty hyped about this extra-special add-on episode, "400 Days". The Walking Dead: 400 Days is fairly short, and can be completed in less than two hours. However, it's still a great value, especially for only $5. It is comprised of five chapters over the course of the first four hundred days of the zombie apocalypse, each one starring a different character. These five episodes are The Walking Dead straight up, with no filler. For fans of the first season, buying this is a no-brainer.

Please be warned, I will be going into great detail about all five episodes in this review. If you haven't yet played The Walki…

A while back, Gary Whitta teased a little  that we'd get something to hold us over till season two, and today I got to watch a little bit of that little something. The part I saw was Vince's chapter, which is only one of five that, according to the developer, will even out to the length of a single episode.

The chapter starts out strong, with player character Vince executing an unknown, off-screen victim. Shortly thereafter, police sirens blare and Vince quickly makes a break for it. He has a few options as to how to dispose of the weapon. Regardless of the player's choice, Vince ends up en route to prison. Whilst there, the player takes part in an extended bit of dialogue with two characters. To put it simply, one is convicted of statutory…

When I played back my recording for the season finale of The Walking Dead, I was expecting a lot. I came in expecting an epic finale full of gunfights, death, retribution, and more. Honestly, it's hard for me to say it didn't deliver; this episode has all those things and more. At the same time however, something felt missing. Something felt off. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it didn't feel like enough for a finale. Don't get me wrong, I think this was a really good episode; I'm just not sure it was a serviceable season finale.

From the beginning, I was pretty hooked. I was hooked from the first shot, actually. I really appreciated the mirror opening from the season première. The dialogue between Milton and Philip was good stuff, an…
