Hello everyone, the walking dead issue 138 came out today and I thought I would write up a review saying my thoughts on how the story is progressing.
Firstly, this was a great issue is my opinion. I loved when Jesus kicked Gregory at the very begging of the issue, that was just badass. Speaking of Gregory, he is such a weak character and I have absolutely no idea on what they are going to do with his character now that he has been put in jail.
I loved the interactions between some of the characters in this issue, for instance, Carl and Lydia. The relationship was moving pretty fast, but I can see why Carl would be angered by Lydia's departure, he doesn't want her to get hurt and he might hold deep feelings for her especially after they had sex at the end of the last issue.
The leader of the Whispers seems interesting, can't wait to learn more about her character, and how she and her daughter interact more in the coming issues (hopefully). The whispers are a pretty interesting group of survivors, but I hope they take a short break with the hilltop and whispers, because I want to see some issues taking place in the sanctuary and the kingdom. Anyways, I enjoyed seeing the characters Dante and Ken after there absence in the last couple issues, and I can tell that Dante will become one of my favorite characters due to his personality. I am afraid that Carl may start a war over his "teen love" drama, but that makes walking dead just the more fun. I can't wait to see Sophia's reaction when she finds out that Carl and Lydia kissed, she'll be pissed. I'm also interested to see what they do with the Gregory and the parents of the kids Carl beat up. I may have gone off point a bit but overall that was a great issue of TWD, it was a brilliant read and I would give it a 9/10.
I can't wait to see what they do with some of the characters coming up. The comics are only getting better at this point and I'm very excited to read the next issue of walking dead coming out on March 25th.
