Different name, same Blog series, no Im still not getting tired. So this month right back in scedule, we're taking a look at...
Issue 152[]
Wow this issue was much better than it seemed, once again I was really surprised (maybe Im just too pessmistic?) we had a load of great development and an astounding surprise at the end!
lets start where last issue ended, with Eugene: the interaktion with the "Radio-stranger" is gorgeous. It's the first time since Ricks hallucination that we got something like this and it's really great. Eugene and the stranger seem to be at the same level based on intelligence alltough he seems a little too causcious, not sure yet if he is threat or allie.
Now that I mentioned it I gotta adress it: Is he/she a hallucination?
short awnser: probably not, we had it once and I dont think RK would reuse an old story with a different character it would just be lame and pretictable.
I really like the direction this is heading in, but I hope Eugene will atleast let someone know and watch over their talks as a sort off silent watcher, I dont know why it just seems smart to me.
Next scene we get more Gabriel development, which I'm all for, Dwight seems to be very competent instructor and gets molded into a better charcter by each issue, later we see Gabriel apologizing while praying, I kinda start getting worried that he too will maybe rally up and confront Rick to go a more peacefull way with the whisperers?
The little shithead from the hilltop finally gets a name, Brandon, he proofs to be on the same level of idiocy as his parents as he starts yelling and poor old Rick gets another beating. suprisingly unfaced by it Rick does the unthinkable, fight back.
Seriously I did'nt expect Rick to do anything and just let him wear his anger out, but he really fucks Brandon up nearly choking to death, afterward informing Brandon that he'll stay under his watch and not return to the Hilltop, keep your enemies close right?
But oh boy, apparently the beating did'nt knock sense into Brandons head as he shortly after fress Negan from his Cell!
Thats right Negans on the loose again, but I'm not really sure as to what he's going to do, I dont think he hates Rick enough to go through with shitlord Brandons plan as he has atleast some sort of loyality towards Rick, at least it seems like that, no idea where he went, but judgning by the cover of issue 153 he stays either in ASZ and commits murder, or he killed Brandon for Rick and presents him as a present (remember Spencer?) to gain more trust, which in my eyes would be more Neganlike.
Also Rick wants his people to be furious, not a very smart idea but it surely creates tension for the reader.
The issue ends with Rick and Michonne standing in the empty Cellroom, not looking forward to the poor woman (I think it's supposed to be Paula) who let Brandon steal the keys, after what he said to Olivia last time, maybe-Paula has something coming for her.

- very interesting conversation of Eugene and the Radio-Starnger
- More well written Negan

The Comics get better and better, I dondt know if I just have my rose tinted glasses on on or if the issues lately have been really great but I enjoy them very much, we get fresh new story arcs, old characters get more and well deserved development and our survivors are faced with difficult new problems, and visually no filler or pading is evident, this is a great time to be a comic reader in my opinion.

So That's it once again, I really tried to be critical, but theres just not much to be criticized here, if you have another view of the issue, or if you want to tell me what sort of biassed fanboy I am please feel free to express your thoughts in the comments, I'm looking forward to responding to them.
