Once again Id like to welcome you all to one of my "Ricks-hand-blogs".

If youre interested in my last Blog about this topic heres a link: http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:RYan_Odin/The_Hand!

As allways Id like to apologize for my below standart grammar and punctuation skills english is not my main language and I hope nobody is hurt too bad by reading this.

Soo the fact that youre reading this means that either my jibberish is mildly enjoyable for or that youre allready typing youre hatecomment as of why I still talk about this and IF you do, please watch your grammar.

Now reading through (TV)Ricks trivia section, for no special reason, I found a new entry which states that the man himself (Robert Kirkman) has given a new statement about the hand:

"Robert Kirkman mentioned one of the reasons why Rick didn't lose his right hand yet, like his comic counterpart, is that the comic is made of stills, whereas one would have to watch Rick doing all the things one-handed, thus much slower, on the show."

Now reading this brings up a few questions:

1.) How much can we interprete into the word "yet" ?

Reading it like this sounds almost like a confimration like if he wanted to say "dont worry folks its coming, but not as of now".

2.) Is this an excuse?

Honestly I cant think of many things that would seem "slow" on the show, as long as Rick doesnt need to button a shirt (I wonder wholl get this refference lel), sure seeing Rick one handedly fire a rifle or mashine gun would seem out of place but honestly they dont need to film him with big guns then. It would only be logical for Rick to stick to pistols instead of the big guns if he looses his hand. To me it sounds like an excuse and a reason why they wont dissable Rick at all, which contradicts my previous statement.

3.)How could it even happen?

Honestly I dont know, I cant picture any scene where Rick looses his hand after the prison. It seems like Kirkman really WANTS to do it as he previously stated loosing the hand was vital for Ricks development in the comics, but there just isnt a good oportunity for doing it. Like really how could it happen?

I can think of only two scenarios:

Scenario A: When they free Beth in the next episodes. This could play out similar like in the comics with Rick Michonne and "Glenn-substitute" going in the facility and get captured and the leader of the facility wants Rick to sell out the rest of his group and surrender their goods Rick of course refuses and *chop* its done. I can totally see this happen heck even Dr.Stevens is there!

Scenraio B: Negan does it as punishment. This is a very big speculation but is you think about it, it could happen instead of Negan *spoiler* killing Glenn he could dissable Rick to proove his point. Nothing much I can write about this because it well explains itself.

I personally would (still) LOVE to see it happen in color but If its not gona happen in season 5 I doubt that it will happen at all.

Now what does the comunity think about this? Feel free to share youre opinion about this topic in the comments.

Peace out.
