Good morning, evening or night fellow fans of The Walking Dead!

As many of you may know, creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman, issued a recent statement about the controversial cliffhanger that was employed at the end of the sixth season of the TV show regarding Negan's victim of choice being a mystery to the audience. I was one of those people that was disappointed in the sense of I didn't know who it was initially but that was washed over fairly quickly as I appreciated everything else the episode offered - JDM's terrific performance as Negan, the terror that built as the Saviors began showing themselves as something to fear (pun intended :P) and Rick's genuine experience of horror as he was literally powerless and his confidence being utterly shattered. There was so much to enjoy.

I understand how those who felt (and still feel) betrayed and out for blood because of this choice but I honestly think it's becoming a tad undeserved to an extent. Everyone has genuine reasons for why they were or weren't favorable to why they didn't enjoy the episode or its cliffhanger (e.g. the impact of the death to the comic and it shaking up the world of TWD completely being lost by the cliffhanger, etc.) but then there are those who are truly not seeing how ridiculous they've made their feelings clear to the Walking Dead community. All these attacks on the producers and Scott Gimple in particular (who's outstanding contribution to the show cannot be stated - my personal opinion) have been extremely exaggerated and are simply detestable - however I know that is a small minority. Cliffhangers are a part of television, they happen and there isn't a thing we can do about it. You still have the option to like or dislike the decision at the end of the day however it doesn't warrant this type of blatant and ignorant antagonism (e.g. arguing the cliffhanger was employed for ratings when The Walking Dead is one of the highest rated shows on television, etc.)

Time also becomes a factor - the 6 month wait for a cliffhanger can be arduous, I understand. But remember it WILL come eventually, it's not as if you will never know who met their demise, the show will return - that's a given.

The Walking Dead is still proving to be a piece of stunning television as well a international phenomenon in all mediums - even with its setbacks and criticisms (this cliffhanger no doubt being one of them). Season 7 is going to fantastic and I wouldn't expect anything less from the cast and crew.

Personally I find their reasoning, Robert's statements in his letter included, are completely justifiable however you look at them and this shouldn't be something to become enraged over even after close to a month since the episode aired. Those who act out their distaste for the episode and the cliffhanger with a clear and open mind respecting those that think differently are those I commend as well as for not vilifying Scott and co. for their decision.

In summary, we should all accept that what happened, happened and that we shouldn't lose our cool. Take what you will from the show whether it be disdain or praise, but please, don't go making exaggerated and nonsensical threats, it's immature to say the least. This wait for season 7 should be able to calm all of us down.

To who I think who got Lucilled? I'm going with Glenn for various reasons which I won't state as they could be legit spoilers as well as other reasons. To those who read this post in its entirety, thank you.
