I don't know if anyone has proposed this theory before, but I was talking about the future of the show with a buddy and I came up with this possible plot thread-
Daryl becomes disillusioned with Rick and the rest of the gang after the prison downfall (this much seems true so far) and in an episode in 4B he comes across something that either makes him think Carol is dead or makes him incredibly pissed off at Rick, so much so that he leaves the group (or just Beth if they don't hook up with the others) and we don't hear from him again for a long time, like Season 5 finale or S6 midseason finale depending on how long they take doing the storylines that fit between the fall of the prison and the Saviors. The scene would be pretty simple, we hav…Read more >
Ok, first off, the Midseason finale was amazing, a little too "talky" during the first half but WHAM BAM THANK YOU MA'AM what an ending! Completely redeems all the bullshit from the Season 3 Nonfinale and I've said it 1000 times but it needs to be said once more, Scott Gimple is a god among men. That said, time to freak the flippin shit-fuck out at the unfortunate, apparant god Daryl 'The Immortal One" Dick-son.
I was pissed when I noticed that HE was robbin the screentime AGAIN and that HE basically killed off the entire militia single-handed, but then I saw the walkers and, well, I'll let this video speak for my reaction:
but then we cut away just as the walker GRABS HIM, then suddenly NOPE! He's perfectly f…Read more >
I see alot of blogs being posted talking about how Carol is possibly never coming back and stuff about how The Governor is going to attack the group right away in the next episode. And whenever I see them, I just think 'obviously this person hasn't googled anything for fear of spoilers' I have braved the wild land of possible spoilers for all of you and I can say with confidence that A) Carol is NOT gone, she just won't be around for a while because of- B) The next 2 episodes are confirmed to be Governor-centric episodes, we'll be getting the complete story of what happened to him following his mental breakdown and how exactly he ends up back at the prison, there are no specifics in anything I read ( and I wouldn't post any detailed or maj…Read more >
By my estimate there are only 4 left at this point, I think we all assume they'll be killed when The Governor launches his assault on the prison, but honestly I was hopin there'd be a couple more around for the slaughter.
Heres the math maybe I'm off by 1 or 2: Greg Nicotero confirmed on Talking Dead that there were roughly 45 people in the prison at the start of the season. Now we take out the 14 real characters (Rick, Carl, Glenn, Daryl, Carol, Hershel, Maggie, Beth, Michonne, Tyreese, Bob, Sasha, Lizzie and Mika) plus Judith, that leaves us with about 30 redshirts. Zack and Patrick died in the premiere, 13 more died next episode (not including zombie patrick) 2 in Isolation, and now another 9 in Internment. 30-2-13-2-9=4
That said, I'm gl…Read more >
Had to throw up this appreciation blog for the man who saved The Walking Dead, personally, I can't get enough of the guy! First he shows up and writes 3 of the best episodes in Season 2 ('Save the Last One' 'Pretty Much Dead Already' and '18 Miles Out') then he writes 2 of the best episodes of the entire series to date 'This Sorrowful Life' and the masterpiece known as 'Clear' and now he's in charge of the whole show! And his presense in the showrunner's chair has definitely been felt (by me at least) Season 4 has seen a MASSIVE step up in the overall quality of the show, everything from the dialogue and general writing all the way up to character development, pacing, and plot have improved greatly over the shit-show that was Season 3. He'…Read more >
