After all the annoying blog posts I've seen that make me want to claw my eyes out, I think it's time I made one of my own for the first time. This will basically be a rant on various things people in TWD fandom do or say that are stupid.

EDIT: My intention, to be clear, is not to shame or offend anyone. However, I am somebody who generally can come off as scathing when stating my opinion. That's all it is--an opinion. Keep that in mind.

Let's get into this my dudes.

  • Unfairly judging FTWD - Fear The Walking Dead got twenty times better in it's second season, and the only ones still calling it trash haven't even been watching it lately and probably quit after the first season. They also happen to be entitled critics who try to act intelligent by throwing around terms like 'character development' and various other storytelling terms which they heard online but have no actual fucking clue what makes a good television series. Sure, the name sucks, but things have picked up lately and if you don't put in the effort to watch the series then shut your fucking mouth since you have no clue what you're talking about. If you actually watch it, and still find it bad, then that's fair. However, "IT'S A CASHGRAB SERIES WHICH I WATCHED ONE EPISODE OF THAT DIDN'T KILL OFF FIVE MAIN CHARACTERS SO I'M MAD" is not an actual argument. Fear has done a far better job than the TV series of developing characters, at least at the moment, and doesn't kill off mains for the simple reason of "LOL SHOCKFACTOR AMIRITE", which is something I see people complaining about regarding the TV series all the time. That's an advantage on its own.
  • Being overt Negan fanboys - I hate to burst your bubble, but no, Negan is not the only, or even best, character in The Walking Dead. It's fine if you think so, but seriously, it's time Negan stopped being treated to so much fan service. Lately Kirkman has been forcing him into storylines that he had no business being in(The Whisperer War), all for the sake of giving the sheep-like fanboys what they want. The Whisperer War's newly revealed cover is Negan and Beta, despite the fact that he had no logical reason to ever be in that story in the first place, much less take it over. Other characters were completely ignored in his favor. I like Negan quite a bit, he's an interesting and amusing character oftentimes, but it's time they stop. It's funny how the same people advocating this overuse of the Negan character are the same people calling Daryl a "cashcow" and calling HIM overused despite the fact that he just now recieved decent screentime for the first time since Season 5. The Whisperer War has become more of a Negan Fanfiction than an actual storyline. "OH MY FUCKING GOODNESS HE SAID FUCK SEVEN TIMES IN A ROW THAT'S JUST FUCKING HILARIOUS!!! LOL GRADE A HUMOR RIGHT THERE"
  • Hating Daryl - Now, this is one that I can kind of relate to. Daryl is an obnoxious character at times, the whole "rocket launcher" scenes in S6 proved that. The writers need to stop catering to the hormonal girls who love him so much. Yes, he is unfortunately protected by plot armor as a result of his popularity. However, overall he is a very well-recieved character by (actual)critics, and for good reason. His story shows a change from a rowdy, racist redneck into a crucial member and defender of the group. If there's any embodyment of what good TWD character development looks like, it's him. I personally don't care for him all that much, but dear goodness, stop acting like four year olds. "OH NO WATCHMOJO.COM RANKED DARYL AS THE BEST CHARACTER IN TWD I FEEL PERSONALLY ATTACKED" *creates 780th blog ranting about Daryl*
  • Picking out completely minor irrelevant details about comic adapted characters, then calling them "bad adaptations" - Dwight is a perfect example. When he first got his face burned and returned to the series after a few episodes, I saw blogs complaining about the burns. People had literally reached such a level of pettiness that they were whining about the fact that his burns "didn't look like in the comics."

I should probably calm down at some point. In conclusion, most TWD fans, particularly on this wiki, are illogical buffoons who simply want something to complain about, and ignore every flaw in the comics so they can exalt them and bash everything else(TV series, FTWD, the Video Game).

(cough) TV series is actually very flawed to be fair (cough)

Alright, that's all for now. Please do share your opinions on what I said, I'll probably be crucified for insulting Negan if I had to guess. Oh well. Part 2 will inevitably be posted once I find myself once again annoyed with something. Maybe I'm just a bitch, who knows.
