I've been addressing some complaints about the Walking Dead media in my previous two blog posts. I've gotten a few respnses, and that's perfectly fine with me, I'm not expecting a massive response to any of my posts, given that I'm an infrequenter of this site. If this is the first part you've read, then here's the first two parts (http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Chevleclair/Perhaps_this_is_a_different_perspective) and (http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Chevleclair/Part_II_of_a_different_perspective). I'm going to go with one more point and finally close this topic for awhile, at least

The last complaint I hear is, in fact, comic book related. This is the fact that Daryl Dixon is not in the comic. I happen to be a fan of Daryl as well, and for good reason. He has a silent and deadly weapon in the crossbow, and he hunts zombies like Jason Voorhees (property of someone else) hunts teenagers. He hacks through them with a machete, leading to all kinds of splatterfest goodness. He's this world's Clint Eastwood to Rick's John Wayne. Tough and gritty, and loyal. an outlaw with a heart. Tough to argue with that, right?

It is tough to argue, but I'm sure going to try. In essence, Daryl IS in the comic. He just isn't using a crossbow and a machete, he's using an axe and only has one arm. Daryl is one of the three Rick personalities in the TV series. Rick, Shane, and Daryl. Superficially, Daryl fills other roles, too, like that of Tyrese, for example (in the relationship with Carol). The role of badass zombie hunter right now falls to Michonne, and I feel that Mr. Kirkman needs to get into Michonne's head a bit more as the series progresses.

Anyway, I guess my point's been made. Feel free to comment or argue. Hell, troll if you want to. Not that I can stop you. I've been expecting a few tl;dr posts, but so far this crowd's been pretty smart.
