My name is Wesley, I am a twenty-five year old filmmaker and independant writer. Writing is my passion and I am certainly happy to hear about the stories of others.
I joined this wiki for one reason... THE WALKING DEAD, a comic series I fell in love with around 2004 and haven't turned back. I like interacting with fellow fans of both the comics and show, not to say "Hey! I'm a better fan than you!", but rather praise my fellow fans for helping keep this wonderful series alive. I loved the show in the beginning, despite the ragers we have now who never knew it was based off of fictional writing, let alone graphic novels.
After thinking it over, I've finally decided my favorite living character is ultimately Carl Grimes while my favorite deceased character is between Tyreese and Abraham Ford. Carl subjective nature as a child gives him an advantage, the moral coding that adults had had in their previous lives as well as his prowess being raised as a child of the undead world makes him an incredible character to follow. There are dozens of secondary and follow-up characters I love too, but Carl is my main man in the comic series whose still kicking. Children of the apocalypse have the edge to rule the world and make it better... or worse.
: A common question is who is the best antagonist of each series... so far, I'd have to go with The Hunters. They're unique trait seems like some grim reality, particularly when their leader explains himself to the victim they were eating off of at the time. They must have been a true nightmare to many, MANY people until Rick's group came into the fold.
Definitely a tie between Clementine, Lee Everett and Molly. Clementine, like Carl, is a child in the wake of apocalyptic devastation, molding her mind into that of a survivalist. The break down of her innocence while in the company of protagonist Lee Everett was incredible, which is probably why Lee outweighs her. Being able to play the game as a realistic human being outside of ones self was breathtaking, creating a sensational connection to the game that is unlike any other. Finally, Molly is the most badass of the first season and as such, she was just one huge turn-on that walked, skipped, hurdled and chopped with her trademark weapon, Hilda.
: The best antagonist would be Nate, the darker side of Woody Harrelson's "Tallahasee" in Zombieland.
RIP Shumpert the Bowman
Hm... since the show started, I was a fan. Sadly though, the departure of Frank Darabont kinda sent it on a self-destruct path that I hope finds it way back. Regardless, I do have favorite characters and they're all over the place and blah-blah-blah.... Too be honest, I have a favorite male, female and antagonist character lined up just in the TV Series. For the male hero, it would have to be Hershel Greene, hands-down the LUCKIEST character alive as well as the most evolved turn-around since his introduction. From the deaths of his undead family and the fall of his family's farm, to losing his leg in order to spare his life, Hershel is the most well-rounded and capable survivor of the entire group. Morgan Jones was a close second. The female hero is Michonne, the katana wielding woman whose choice of keeping her past a mystery makes her stand-out from the simply unevolved. Carol, Maggie and Sasha were close runnersup. And lastly, The Governor is my favorite bad-ass villain, post eye-gouge. After losing his eye and then his undead daughter Penny, the once outright lie of a man loosened up and began showing his true nature, even before the citizens he had lulled into a delusional comfort. Once he's had enough, he's not afraid to show it and when he comes then you know it to be true.
