Michonne- Michonne is a very strong brave character and is a big part of the group in the comics (guessing she will too in the TV series) and she is very well with those sharp blade swords.
Rick Grimes- Rick is the main character of The Comics, The TV Show, And I think the novel.
He's strong and brave with his family Lori Grimes, Carl Grimes and himself he is also a big part of the team with his leadership.
Glenn- Glenn is usually the character that is to go out and get supplies and discover stuff he's also very brave and sometimes kinda funny like when he was in the "Season 2 Finale" just sittin on the window shooting walkers with his shotgun "BAM BAM!!" dead zombies. Glenn is one of my favorite characters.
T-Dog- Tdog is a really cool,brave guy who is a part in the tv show but not as big as Rick, Tdog has done not that much stuff but still helps, he helps burn walkers and saved Lori and Beth in the Season Finale 2. Tdog is one of my favorite characters.
