TWD follows the life of Rick Grimes, Sheriff from Atlanta. He wakes up from a come to zombie-apocalypse. Through new friends he finds his wife, Lori, and son, Carl. Also he founds his old-time friend, Shane.
Rick understands world has changed. People die everyday, old friends turn into enemies and food is running on low all the time. Rick has to make desperate moves to survive on this apocalyptic world. Rick's group has settled down on several memorable places; Hershel Greene's farm and The Prison, which taught RIck one valuable lesson about the survivors of apocalyptic world. The people in his group had rough times; Rapists, Cannibals, Prisoners and a few Woodbury assaults in their home, The Prison, which caused most of the deaths of plot relevant people of the comic (including Hershel, Tyreese and Lori and her newborn baby, Judith.)
Rick's mind has been put on test by cutting off his right hand, killing his friends, half of his family, and having his son shot two times. Rick still manages to stay sane although it has left eternal scars on his mind. Rick and his old and new friends find a place, Alexandria Safe-Zone, where they thought it would be safe. Some weeks later the wall of safe-zone breaks and zombies cause death of six people, as one being Rick's savior, Morgan Jones. Rick learns a valuabe lesson of the zombies and stands out to be the new leader of the zone. Later, they discover Hilltop Colony, which seems to have their own enemies, and for the second time, Rick and his family is going to have another battle of their lives...
After losing dear friends suchs as Abraham and Glenn, Maggie and Sophia leave the group in the fear of Saviors. Rick now is planning killing Negan with one of his lieteunants, Dwight, and The Kingdom's leader, Ezekiel.
TWD Videogame follows the life of Lee Everett, 37-year-old convicted killer, who murdered his wife's lover -- on cold blood. In early days of the apocalypse, he is about to be driven to local prison -- same prison where Rick Grimes and his group lived for more than 7 months -- but is ambushed by a roamer. Driver, unnamed police officer, collides the car. Lee wakes up, kills the zombified policeman, and discovers his leg is hurt, badly. He finds himself from a new world, and meets a little girl, Clementine, and starts a new life with her searching her missing parents.
Lee will visit his family's pharmacy store and Hershel's farm, where he finds a new longlasting friend and his family -- Kenny. Pharmacy store's survivors; including Lilly, Glenn and Carley -- join the group and they leave the place after it's overran by walkers. Survivors set up on a motel, but after 3 months they have to abandon it, after young survivor, Ben, makes a bad deal with big group of bandits, which they met at the cannibal farm of St. John's.
People abandon Lilly after she kills Carley/Doug, who she tought was the one who made a deal with bandits. She and Glenn are the only one whose destiny is shadowed; all the others died during the events. Lee, Clementine, Kenny, Ben and the rest find a train, along it's resident Chuck, but Kenny's son Kenny Jr. (Duck) has been bitten. Kenny's wife Katjaa commits suicide when she's unable to kill her son. Depressed Kenny and the rest leave and find two new survivors; Omid and Christa. Along the way, Ben reveals to Lee he caused all the deaths by dealing with the bandits.
The group have to deal with serious issues when they arrive to Savannah, where Kenny's boat and Clementine's parents are located -- but Omid's injured leg after jumping from a bridge to moving train isn't one of them.
The group finds Vernon, a doctor, and a bunch of new people, including Molly, Vernon's group, and mysterious Stranger. Kenny and Lee discover all the boats are wrecked, but little boy's family, Fivel's, own a boat, which is found by Clementine. Group gathers the supplies they need to get the boat working. Ben reveals to Kenny and the rest how Katjaa, Duck and Carley/Doug died, and Kenny tries to attack him, unsuccesfully. Ben, later, is killed or saved by Lee.
A morning after, Lee discovers Clem is missing. He finds her radio from outside, but is suddenly bitten. The rest of the group start to look for Clementine, and gets back to Fivel's unsure of Clementine's whereabouts. Vernon and his group stole the boat, and hope is almost gone, so is Clementine.
