Rick Grimes
Edit
In the comic series, Rick started off as a well-defined character. He tried to stay optimistic despite the situation he was in. However, as the series went on he just seemed to be whatever Kirkman needed at the moment. To make things worse, he lost a hand and still manages to stay alive somehow. All in all, Rick is one of the most flawed characters in the comic, but he is also one of the best.
In the TV series, Rick is a better developed character. He couldn't stay optimistic if he tried when he woke up in that hospital. He's only gotten darker as time goes on. The most hopeful he looked in a long time was in Killer Within...right before Lori and T-Dog were killed in a gruesome way. He will likely just get more and more depressing as time goes on. Favorite Rick episode: Beside the Dying Fire Verdict: Improvement
Season 1
Edit
The first season of the Walking Dead is an adaption of the first volume of the comic series, Days Gone Bye. The comic version has obvious flaws. Rick wakes up to a zombie infested world where there are very few actual zombies in his hometown. Morgan and Duane seemingly don't have any idea what the hell is going on. They've been killing zombies but they don't know what happens if they don't? In the TV show, Morgan explains the whole situation to Rick and is obviously more serious about everything. The addition of his wife into the narrative was a smart move. The scene where he's attempting to snipe the zombies is easily the most powerful of that episode. Then you have the Atlanta Camp, all in all they were kinda generic in the comics. Couple families, few kids, etc. In the TV show, you actually have people who aren't white. Yeah, you did have Glenn in the comics but it still seemed off. You also have two redneck brothers, a much less stupid Shane (still a total asshole, but not stupid), a much more interesting Amy, and an older Carl. The CDC was also much better than Rick and Shane have a mexican stand-off. Verdict: Improvement

Watching 30 Rick finale right now. This is the saddest I've been since Lost ended AlVan (talk) 01:47, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
I watched Southland Tales for the first time last night. It has to be the single most confusing film of all time and I found myself wanting to throw something at the TV constantly, yet I can't shake this feeling of wanting to see it again. It was so good...but I hated it. My head hurts. AlVan (talk) 21:47, February 3, 2013 (UTC)
"Good thing we didn't do anything stupid like shoot it." Best. Line. Ever. AlVan (talk) 00:40, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

A major death has been leaked online. I'm excited for it but some people don't like spoilers so nobody say shit. AlVan (talk) 01:27, March 17, 2013 (UTC)
Emily Kinney loves Florence and the Machine, too...NEVER KILL BETH!!!! AlVan (talk) 01:29, March 18, 2013 (UTC)
I'm making this official now. I no longer care about the show. They have cashed out. I love the comics, but...the show has gone downhill so much. I wish they could just start over, do a reboot, and without AMC ruining it. I am so disappointed. AlVan (talk) 03:55, April 1, 2013 (UTC)
Tyreese, Beth, and Sasha: You have renewed my faith in this show! AlVan (talk) 00:50, April 4, 2013 (UTC)
I'm really beginning to feel that there is absolutely no way around killing Daryl in the next couple of seasons. They would essentially have to put him in the background and give him no development because all of the odds (story-wise) are against him. The same could be said for Glenn. I really don't see the both of them surviving this upcoming season. Most likely one of them will, but one of them kinda has to go.AlVan (talk) 21:41, May 7, 2013 (UTC)
