The second wife of Jeremiah Otto, Tracy lived with him alongside their son Troy, and Jeremiah's son from his first marriage Jake. Founders of a survivalist organization named Broke Jaw Ranch, they prepared for the fall of democracy - "but didn’t anticipate the rise of the dead".
In a conversation with Madison Clark, Troy reveals to her that his mother is dead.
Tracy was first seen by Madison Clark in a video tape after acting in Jeremiah's survival tape, both him and her start fighting causing a young Troy to cry and hug his brother. After Jeremiah sees that Madison saw his tape he explains that she was struggling in alcoholism and died due to it before the apocalypse. Jeremiah then asks if Madison's former husband if he suffered the same. She replies saying "in a way, yes."
- Alcohol poisoning
After Madison found the tape where Jeremiah and Tracy argue, Jeremiah explains that Tracy was suffering from alcoholism. He goes on to say that it was the "booze that took her", confirming she died from alcohol problems, most likely alcohol poisoning. Jeremiah also says that Troy cared for his mother while she was dying, feeding her and bathing her, which lead to Tracy hating her son even more. When asked what he was doing while his wife died Jeremiah responded with "Selling buckets" as he also suffered from alcoholism.
