In letter Hacks, Kirkman stated that he has something planned for Sophia, but what could it be? Could it be an upcoming death? Or could it be something else? What do you think?

I really love her as a character and think she could be developed really well. Now that Andrea is dead maybe they will make more room for her in the story. As of now she's the longest-living female, and yet offers up very little aside from appearances here and there to remind us she's still around.
(seeing her use a gun in issue 161 was awesome btw)
Well hopefully there is some conflict between Lydia and Sophia, considering that Sophia may have some feelings left for Carl, and that Lydia's former group was responsible for murdering many of her friends, and burning down her home.
Probably something boring, I'm sure.
I think Sophia is intended to be Carl's serious love interest over the course of the comic. I personally don't think it is any coincidence that the only other person still living from the original Atlanta camp (aside from the main character of the entire series and his son) is a girl the same age as Carl.
I think Kirkman is trying to develop the relationship the right way so people will buy into the idea of them being meant for eachother when it does happen. Two kids that basically grew up together start off as friends first. They have their experiences (well at least in this case Carl is having experiences but there are hints that Sophia has some guys she hangs around as well) and they will eventually discover how much they mean to eachother.
I think Lydia is more or less a tempory thing for Carl. They are basically just two horny teenagers who like to fuck eachother. I wouldn't be surprised if she is killed off sometime in the next 20-30 issues or for some reason or other leaves the group. In my opinion I think that is when Sophia will start getting more screen time when Lydia is out of the picture. At this point I'm sure Kirkman doesn't want to make Sophia look like she is jealous of Carl and Lydia so he is probably being careful how much interaction she has with the two horny teens while they are living out their teenage fantasies.
I'd love to see more from her. For too long she's just been around, without doing much. I'd love a proper, Sofia-only based storyline, but I doubt it will happen.

I'm going to honest, half of time I forget Sophia is even still with the group, due to how wasted her characters is. Ever since the beginning, she basically served as the group's personal background character. It wasn't until Issue 131 that she actually did something important and then went straight back to being in the background. So I am 100% on board for a Sophia-only based storyline.
Maybe Kirkman can also make a mini-series where he shows what happened to Sophia and Carol pre-apocalypse, kind of like what he's doing for Here's Negan, though it most likely won't happen.
She has been thorough so much losing her Grandparents, mother, father and Glenn she needs more development big time I would be so disappointed if she gets killed she has only had a little more development than tv series Sophia and yet it's not enough we saw her take charge to protect her family and community blasting whisperers and walkers I think this could be the start of a major herione hopefully. I feel like she could have a Beth death you know getting the screen time she deserves and then Blam she is gone that would really irritate me.
It almsot seems to me that Sophie is starting to become a little manipulative with Carl due to his relationship with Lydia. I think she thought that since she and Carl sort of grew up together and have been with each other since the beginning that they were supposed to be together, but now that Carl is with Lydia, she doesn't like it. We've seen this with the jealous looks she's been throwing at them. And now she's starting to become a little possessive and trying to get Carl to come to her. I'm not untirely unconvinced that she dropped those blocks on purpose right in front of Carl to get him to help her when she saw him and Lydia getting all cozy. It alsmost feels like she's trying to make Lydia jealous to maybe start something. After all, lets not forget what both her parents were like.
Probably a gory, bloodey, depressing end to her character.
