Man its been awhile since I've been here. Was just deleting some old files and came across my PW for the wiki here. Since telltale waited so danm long to release S3 of the game I just let it rest, occasionally checking to see if they released as yet and when they did I got it ,started then haven't continued since due to time, Anyway TV. Tough choice between Carol, Daryl, Beth and Rick. Game . Another Tough choice between Clementine and Kenny. (Since I've only just begun S3 and I'm not familiar with the characters as yet.)

Over-emphasizing main characters isn't good for television. Good writers can take a minor character and make them important.
The Walking Dead would be bettered if they promoted minor characters more and killed them less. Between the Governor and Negan, Rick and the others kept dropping the villains like flies, the Claimers, Terminites, Dawn, Wolves..... and each encounter practically left them with no new characters, except Noah, who was really just used as cannon fodder when they needed something to pit Glenn against Nick.
I'm hoping that this season we can build on characters like Jerry, potentially Scott, Kal, or Tobin, spin an arc with Siddiq, maybe the Savior Laura can be elaborated on more... hopefully once the All Out War arc is done, Oceanside characters will be properly represented as they ought to... Heath should, and probably will get his due (come Season 8 that is), and if they wanted to drop Magna and Yumiko into the storyline early, I would not be opposed.
TV original characters are welcome, but hopefully they actually alter the story and aren't cannon fodder (Noah) or don't just take somebody else's fate (Sasha w/ Holly).
Very much so. The thing about the main cast is that their frequent emotional baggage irritates the fans. Jerry doesn't have that baggage. Just your friendly neighborhood cobbler-eating bodyguard.
The emotional baggage doesn't irritates me tbh, it is expected after all this time.
I do agree about the new/minor characters, make them more involved, more relationships and screentime between themselves and them and the main cast, etc. If you're going to expand the cast and make this bigger world, make those people effect the story and not just waiting for their death. But I gotta say, Sasha's character was very developed and I liked her Holly fate, it made sense.
