Susan, I'm home. The airport's shut down. I drove all the way from Salt Lake.
―Patrick to Susan Tran

Patrick Tran is a character that appears in AMC's Fear The Walking Dead. He is described as a faithful, loving husband to his wife.

Pre-Apocalypse

El Sereno, Los Angeles, California

Patrick has been living in the suburban El Sereno community of Los Angeles with his wife Susan. They are neighbors with the Clark, Cruz, Thompson, Ramirez, and Dawson families. The Trans are especially friendly with the Clarks. He was traveling out of town before the apocalypse began.

Post-Apocalypse

Season 1

"The Dog"

Patrick Tran was at the airport when it shut down, forcing him to find an alternative way home. He arrives home and heads inside to find his wife, Susan, unaware that she had died and turned. Madison attempts to go after Patrick to warn him of Susan's fate. Patrick enters his backyard and finds his zombified wife as Madison tries to reason with him. In shock and confusion, he approaches his wife when suddenly she is shot in the head by the California Army National Guard. Since he was covered in her blood from the spatter, he was taken away by the soldiers, as revealed by a guardsman questioned by Madison.

Post-Compound Assault

Patrick's ultimate fate remains unknown following the zombie invasion of the National Guard's base at the community college. If he did not already die prior to the compound being overrun, it is possible that he was attacked and killed by the zombies that quickly swarmed the compound after the fences were breached.
