"That night on Alexandria, he turned on us. He killed our team. I ran and I kept on running. I was hurt, but what kept me alive was the thought of getting back here and exposing you for the scum weasel you are."
—Laura to Dwight.[src]

Laura is a former antagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead. She was a high ranking member of the Saviors, and was one of Negan's most trusted Saviors after Simon's betrayal and demise.

Laura is shown to be an intelligent, cunning and initially cruel person who is a strong, determined survivor. She is described as having a wild and reckless side and enjoys having "fun" as seen when she plays table hockey with Dwight. She is shown to have somewhat of a kind side as seen when she flirted with Spencer and offered to take him back to her compound presumably in order to get together with him, though it seems this was more a result of him actually scavenging supplies and fulfilling Negan's orders rather than genuine interest in him.

Laura demonstrated extreme loyalty to the Saviors and seemed to fully agree with their sinister lifestyle and was shown to be cruel to the members of communities that her group extorted from as seen when she threatened Eugene and held Rick at gunpoint in order to prevent him from interfering with Aaron being brutally beaten and appeared to become angered at any disrespect towards her group. She was shown to not be bothered by the extreme violence that Negan and the Saviors engaged in as seen when she made Eugene watch Negan burn Emmett Carson alive after being framed by Dwight. She is likely a murderer as well as she surely would have killed Dwight after he turned on their group following the attack on Alexandria had reinforcements not arrived and she made it a personal mission to make in back to the Sanctuary despite being injured in order to expose him as the Militia's spy, further demonstrating her extreme loyalty to Negan and the Saviors.

In spite of her loyalty to Negan, she is not fundamentally a bad person who wishes for an extermination of the other communities. After suffering heavy losses, Laura leads the Saviors in surrendering to the Militia and fully embraces the peace with the other communities. When people from the other communities arrive at the Sanctuary, Laura, now working as a gardener, goes so far as to give Rosita Espinosa a friendly nod and shows no ill will towards her former enemies.

Location Unknown

Nothing is known about Laura's life prior to or as the outbreak began. She is described as "wild and reckless but she always has a ton of fun".[1]

Season 7

"The Cell"

As Dwight and Laura play table hockey, she repeatedly loses to Dwight and has to continuously take shots of alcohol as Dwight watches on with a grin.

"Hearts Still Beating"

Laura is stationed at the front gate with Gary, David, and other Saviors as they wait to inspect the offering from the Alexandrians. When Spencer returns and shows what he scavenged to Gary, she steps in and starts flirting with Spencer, offering to take him back to her compound if he "plays his cards right". Eugene watches from a short distance away. Laura catches him and orders him to walk away or else. Later, when the Saviors unload Rick and Aaron's cargo truck, Laura find the "congrats for winning, but you still lose" note. Enraged at the disrespect, David beats up Aaron, believing the note was intended for them. Laura holds Rick at gunpoint so he cannot stop Gary and David from beating Aaron.

"Hostiles and Calamities"

Laura returns to the compound with Negan's new prisoner, Eugene, who shakes with terror as she walks him deep into the bowels of the Sanctuary. She stops their march and opens a door. Eugene is surprised to see she's taken him to a private apartment, meant for him. She tells him "welcome home, Haircut".

As he explores his new digs, Laura reveals that Daryl has escaped. She asks Eugene if he has any leads to his whereabouts; Eugene tells her that he doesn't and assures her, with sincerity, that he'd tell her if he did. Eugene continues inspecting his new commodities; he is delighted to find the fridge stocked with food and to learn that Laura can get him a meal of his choosing: he first asks for lobster but settles for canned pasta in tomato sauce. He's disappointed to learn that they're out of pickles.

Inside the Sanctuary, Laura shows Eugene around the factory floor and explains the Saviors' point system, which he's exempt from; he can take whatever he wants. She gifts him a jar of pickles.

Eugene is brought outside with Laura and is given an intimidating introduction by Negan. When asked for his name, Eugene responds with "Eugene." Negan then prompts the Saviors for their names and they respond in unison "Negan". She later escorts Eugene to the factory floor, where a crowd has gathered around the furnace. Negan enters and points Lucille directly at Eugene. "You are gonna wanna pay close attention to this," he says. She witnesses Negan accusing Emmett Carson of helping Daryl escape in order to impress Sherry. Laura forces Eugene to watch as Negan throws Carson face-first into the furnace.

Season 8

"The Big Scary U"

As the Savior lieutenants discuss how to rescue Negan, how to handle the workers, and the possibility of a spy among their ranks, Laura bursts into the room, warning everyone that the workers are marching upstairs and that they won't back down. She and the others try to calm the angry workers down and takes a knee when Negan returns.

"Time for After"

Laura helps Mark barricade a set of doors in the Sanctuary as the zombie horde idles outside. Later, she informs Eugene that Negan has summoned him to the meeting room.

"How It's Gotta Be"

Laura is with Dwight and a few other Saviors as they are stationed in the back of Alexandria. When Daryl and the other Alexandrians plow through the walls, Laura and the others chase after them. After seeing the blockade in the road, Laura tells Dwight to stop, suspecting an ambush, but Dwight refuses to do so. As a result, they are caught up in an ambush, and she witnesses Dwight gun down his fellow Saviors. She shoots Dwight in the arm and comes to the realization that he was the mole. Before she can be taken down, she flees the scene as Daryl, Rosita, and Tara find Dwight wounded but alive.

"Still Gotta Mean Something"

Laura is found by Negan walking alone along the side of the road as he drives towards the Sanctuary. He stops the car and comments on her overall state and invites her into the car to return home. At the Sanctuary, he orders D.J. to keep quiet about Laura's return so she may recover peacefully.

After returning to his room, Dwight is shocked to find Laura waiting for him. Having been found by Negan on the side of the road, Laura has revealed Dwight's betrayal to him and delights in angrily telling Dwight what she has done while Negan reveals that he used Dwight to pass a fake plan to the Militia so Negan could lead them into a trap.

Laura acts as Negan's driver to the ambush point and listens to his "confession" to Gabriel Stokes. After Laura is forced to swerve due to a walker, Gabriel makes an attempt to escape and is nearly killed by another walker. Laura shows up with Eugene and kills the walker, saving Gabriel's life.

Laura is one of the Saviors who ambushes the Militia near the Old Mill, holding Dwight at gunpoint to force him to watch. When the Saviors weapons backfire, Laura survives. After a short fight, Laura offers the Saviors surrender to the Militia, a surrender that is accepted. Along with everyone else gathered, Laura listens to Rick's speech after the defeat of Negan.

Following the end of the war, Laura is tending the Sanctuary gardens when people from the other communities arrive to help. Laura gives Rosita a friendly nod, having fully committed herself to moving past the conflict and rebuilding together.

Season 9

Laura will appear in this season.

Killed Victims

This list shows the victims Laura has killed:

  • Numerous counts of zombies and possibly unnamed people.

Laura and Dwight, at first have a good working relationship. The pair played pool together and often went on missions. Their semi-good friendship was ended after Dwight betrayed Laura and the Saviors by deliberately leading them into an ambush. Laura witnessed in horror when Dwight gunned down their whole team to aid the Militia. She was forced to run away from the carnage but eventually got picked up by Negan and returned to the Sanctuary, where she blew Dwight's cover as an double agent.

As fellow Savior lieutenants, Simon and Laura appeared to have a normal working relationship. Laura most likely showed no remorse or care for Simon's death, due to his betrayal of Negan.
