Pre-Apocalypse

Almost nothing is known about Johnny's life before or as the outbreak began, except that he grew up on a Macon farm.
Post-Apocalypse
Woodbury, Georgia
Johnny is seen loading his AK-47 by a food stand while on guard. He is spotted by Brian Blake and they have a minor talk about the arena battles. After Brian is kidnapped, Johnny is unaware of it and is forced to keep the crowd calm after the two fighters in the arena are killed. Once The Governor is found, he tells him that the crowd is getting unsteady and that is when The Governor announces the end to the barter system.

If Johnny was involved in the war between Woodbury and The Prison, he was either killed by the prison defenders in the first or second assault, or devoured by the walkers that overran the prison.
