Jared is a character first encountered in Issue 44 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead and was a tank driver from Woodbury and was involved with the prison assault as a member of the Woodbury Army. 

Pre-Apocalypse

Location Unknown

Nothing is known about Jared's life before the outbreak began. He may have lived in or near Woodbury before the outbreak.

Post-Apocalypse

Prison Assault

While The Governor and Gabe were suggesting an attack aimed towards Rick's group, Gabe mentioned that he believed that Jared could shoot over the fences instead of directly towards them. The Governor revealed that it took five months for Jared to learn how to drive the tank and that they never got around to learning how to load and fire it.

During the final attack, The Governor believed they could rebuild the fences, and forced himself into the tank, ordering Jared to drive. Jared drove over the fences and possibly departed the tank afterwards. He possibly departed with Lilly into the zombie-strewn prison.

Since he was not one of the six soldiers to return to Woodbury, he likely perished at some point during or after the battle.
