The Walking Dead 400 Days: Connecting Storylines
July 7, 2013
How the 5 characters in the 400 Days DLC episode for The Walking Dead game by Telltale Games are all connected. OMG SPOILERS!
Sorry for the poor mic quality. Nothing we could do about it on short notice. Full transcript below in case you have trouble making anything out:
In the 400 days DLC the stories of the 5 characters are linked and cross over quite a bit. Some things happen very quick and some things are more subtle than others so they can be easy to miss. Here I'm going to try and point out all the connections and hopefully give you some more insight.
Starting with Vince's story, you can spot Shel *pause* and Becca *pause* running away from walkers on day 1 of the outbreak.
This shotgun wielding prison guard on the bus *pause* re-appears as a walker during Russell's story. If you choose not to kill him, he'll appear again in Bonnie's story where she'll finish him off.
The other unnamed bus guard who ran away at the first sign of trouble turns out to be the stranger Eddie hits in Wyatt's story. You'll also notice that he's not a walker yet. If you choose not to save him, he becomes one of the watchdogs in Shel's story. If you do choose to save him, the watchdogs will be the elderly couple who were shot by Nate. Speaking of that, you'll find their blood stains still inside the diner.
While in the diner, Shel asks about a missing flashlight. Dee picks it up in the cornfield right before taking a steel bar to the face. The bag Dee picks up is likely the medical supplies that were stolen from Shel's group, which prompted them to hunt them down in the first place. Some of the sillouettes in the cornfield match up with characters in Shel's group.
Russell's new best friend Nate is the guy chasing Wyatt and Eddie. You can see his face pretty clearly in this part of the game. You'll notice Nate's headlight is out when approaching Russell, which was shot out during the chase with Wyatt and Eddie. Finally, right after Nate picks his ear, for a brief moment you can see a cut on his hand that he gets during his encounter with Wyatt.
