Shane Walsh is a playable character in the mobile app, The Walking Dead: Assault.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Cynthiana, Kentucky[]

Due to the game being canon to the Comic Series, it is known that Shane was a police officer before the outbreak, and he was the partner of Rick Grimes. He was involved in a shootout on a highway between him, Rick and a criminal. Rick asks Shane to cover him while he tries to get behind the criminal, however Shane's gun is shot out of his hand and Rick is shot through the torso, placing him in a comatose state. 

Post-Apocalypse[]

Episode 1: Days Gone Bye[]

Shane is available as a playable character from Episode 1.

Shane does not encounter Rick the same was as he does in the Comic Series. Here, Shane will be unlocked as a playable character in Chapter 2, where Rick has arrived at Atlanta. In Atlanta, it is possible for Rick and Shane to find another survivor, named Clara. Rick and Shane can either allow her to die and reanimate, or save her. She will then leave them afterwards.

As Playable Character[]

Shane is unlocked in Episode 1, Chapter 2. His primary weapon is a shotgun and the secondary is a police baton.

Special Move: Freakout Shane freakout Shane reloads twice as fast, dealing twice the damage.

Non-Canon Deaths[]

In every chapter Shane is taken along, it is possible for him to die and reanimate. To complete the chapter, the other survivors have to kill the reanimated Shane. This is considered non-canon.

Trivia[]

  • Shane has the overall highest damage output out of any character in the game due to how much damage he can deal because of his ability and passive as they both stack to himself and his passive can make other characters do even more damage.
