Erma is Dale's wife. Dale and Erma had begun traveling across the United States, enjoying their retirement before running into the zombie crisis at the end of their run in Georgia.

Hardly anything is known about Erma after the outbreak except that she was bitten by zombies within the early stages of the outbreak, succumbing to the infection soon after. She was buried at the campground she and Dale were staying at when she died.
Trivia
- In the TV Series, Erma's name is changed to Irma Horvath, as seen on the side of Dale's RV by the door. Also, in the TV Series, she died of cancer two years before the outbreak.
