Erin is standing with Mrs. Twomey and other horrified residents as they watch the Browns' cabin burn. Erin turns to the woman and states that Russell and Martha are probably dead, before staring at Madison.

Erin is in line with her mother waiting for water from the main well when Ofelia offers her a glass of water, to which she knocks it to the ground. Mrs. Twomey brings an upset Erin closer to her and tells her that "it will be okay, sweetie". The next day, Erin and her mother are talking to Alicia at the well when a fight breaks out. As Nick makes a stand and refuses to back down from the well, Erin walks up to Nick with her mother, joining his stand.
