All that is known is that Diane worked as a police officer in King County before the outbreak and likely worked alongside Rick Grimes, Shane Walsh, Leon Basset, Lambert Kendal, and Don. She worked in dispatch along with a woman named Linda, and together the two women selected the flowers that Shane brought to Rick in the hospital before the outbreak occurred.
Post-Apocalypse
When the outbreak began, Diane's fate is ultimately unknown. She was either assisting the U.S. Military with the infection, or fled to another location.
