- "Don't think they got through the armor... losing blood, I'm cold."
- —Darius to Jesus.[src]
Nothing is known about Darius' life before or as the outbreak began.
Sometime in the apocalypse, Darius managed to find the Alexandria Safe-Zone and joined it's community.
Darius goes with a patrol of Jesus and others to look for Nathaniel after he mentions that Nathaniel hasn't checked in since the morning. Just as Jesus calls off the search, they are attacked by disguised survivors with knives and Darius is the first attacked, being stabbed in the hip then stabbed multiple times in the chest, however his armor protected him and he only received a few severe wounds. Darius survives and calls out for help as walkers begin to surround him. When Jesus manages to fight off the roamers/Whisperers, he saves Darius and takes him to Hilltop Colony, where Dr. Carson can patch him up.
This list shows the victims Darius has killed:
- Numerous counts of zombies.
- "Hang in there, Darius. Just stay with me... stay with me, man."
- —Paul after Darius says that he is losing blood.[src]
Darius and Paul seems to have a good friendship, as they work together as patrolmen. During the ambush with The Whisperers, Paul looked shocked when Darius was brutally stabbed by a couple members of The Whisperers. Jesus told them that they "just killed his friend and won't go down without taking most of them with him", showing that he will avenge Darius' death before he can realize that he's still alive. After discovering that Darius is still alive, Jesus fights through the undead and The Whisperers to help Darius.
- "You need to talk to him again. Fucker eats like it's last meal."
- —Darius to Paul Monroe regarding Nathaniel's eating issues.[src]
Darius and Nathaniel seemed to have a normal relationship, however Darius despised Nathaniel for eating all the food supplies like a pig. Darius went out of the mapped zone to search for Nathaniel after he didn't check back at the outpost, and after the search was called off Darius wanted to send up a flare just in case he was close, seemingly because he cared for Nathaniel's well-being.
