- —Daniel to Eric[src]
Daniel is a character and an antagonist first encountered in Issue 45 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is resident living in Woodbury and member of the Woodbury Army. Daniel is a character also featured in The Fall of the Governor.
Nothing is known about Daniel's life before or as the outbreak began. It is possible that he was living in or near Woodbury before the outbreak began. He is described as looking sheepish.
Daniel, who accompanied The Governor during the initial attack on the prison, retreated when the group lost a large number of their ranks. During the prison assault he is described as wearing hip-hop regalia, baggy shorts and top Jordans. He, along with several other Woodbury soldiers, went to investigate a gunshot from Eric, who had just been killed by Tyreese and Michonne. Once Michonne and Tyreese ambush him and a few others, he along with Raymond Hilliard capture Tyreese and bring him back to The Governor. In the second prison assault he is killed by a grenade, thrown by Billy Greene.
During the Prison assault, when Billy's grenade explodes a car, flying shrapnel is sent into Daniel's body.
This list shows the victims Daniel has killed:
- Numerous counts of zombies.
- Gabe implies on the comics that Daniel died during the counterattack of Michonne and Tyreese. However, it's stated in the novels that he survives and takes part on the final attack of the Governor.
