"I heard you were leaving. Will you read this when you get to the Hilltop?"
—Anna to Carl as she gives him a letter.[src]

Anna is a character first encountered in Issue 129 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead.

Pre-Apocalypse

Location Unknown

Nothing is known about Anna's life before or as the outbreak began.

Post-Apocalypse

A New Beginning

Anna was either a part of Alexandria or joined between the two-year period between Issue 126 and/or Issue 127. She attends school with Carl Grimes and Mikey. It is later mentioned that she invited a few boys to her house, Carl and Mikey among them, and showed them her breasts. Due to this, Carl has suspicions over her.

Before leaving Alexandria, Anna gives Carl a letter, which she tells he can read after he arrives to Hilltop. Rick then teases Carl by asking, "Who is your girlfriend?"

Whispers Into Screams

Carl eventually reads the letter from Anna, which turns out to be a letter expressing her admiration and interest in him.

Carl Grimes

Anna and Carl have a generally positive relationship. It is mentioned by Carl that he liked her and she even went as far as showing him her breasts, though he wasn't sure if she should have done that. Anna comes to Carl before he leaves and hands him a note that she wishes for him to read, to which Carl's father, Rick, jokes about it being a love letter. As it turns out, the letter was indeed Anna's declaration of her interest and admiration for him.

Mikey

Anna and Mikey presumably have a positive relationship. Mikey was present when she showed herself to Carl and a few other boys.
