Tijuana, Baja California
Nothing is known about Ana's life before the outbreak, except that she lived in Tijuana, Baja California and at some point married Francisco and gave birth to Laura.
Early in the morning at La Colonia, Ana sneaks through the marketplace with her husband Francisco and their sick daughter Laura until they are able slip out through a loose metal panel at the wall. They flee down into the clearing by "the wall" and climb inside the bus. After Francisco guts a zombie, the family covers themselves in blood and escape La Colonia. While running through the streets of Tijuana, they are captured by Marco and his gang. Ana and her family are brought to Marco's supermarket and are interrogated regarding the location of La Colonia. When Madison bursts into the interrogation, she asks Ana and Francisco if the ratty-haired "gringo" was Nick. However, Ana stays silent and continues to sob as Marco threatens her family.
As Nick and Reynaldo trade drugs at the supermarket, they discover Francisco's family dead, having been lined up against the wall and executed by gunfire.
As Madison, Travis, and Alicia explored the abandoned supermarket, they find Francisco's family dead.
